The 4 Island

Spent the day snorkelling and island hopping around the gorgeous limestone islands.

The highlight of the 4 island tour was definitely visiting the Emerald Cave Unseen Thailand.

Swimming through the cave the water really did glow emerald green before it became pitch black.

When you’re reached the other end of the cave you emerged into the sunlight to find a hidden white sandy beach surrounded by limestone cliffs.

The tour company we did the trip with is no longer operating but there are many other options by speedboat or long tail boat.

Why not try this 4 Island Tour to Emerald Cave which includes snorkeling stops and a Thai buffet lunch.

KOH KRADAN

Koh Kradan Beach’s recognition as the best beach in the world for 2023 is a testament to its untouched natural beauty, commitment to sustainable tourism, and the enriching experiences it offers to travelers. As we celebrate this pristine paradise, let it serve as a reminder that preserving the Earth’s most exquisite treasures is not just a responsibility, but a privilege that allows us to revel in the splendor of destinations like Koh Kradan for years to come.

Koh Mook

First on the list is Koh Mook, which, apart from the beautiful beaches, plays host to the must-see Emerald Cave – an ancient pirate hideout.

The Emerald Cave, also known as Tham Morakot is a cave that can only be accessed by swimming through a 80-meter long tunnel that leads to a hidden lagoon at the center of the island. Once you reach the lagoon, you’ll find yourself surrounded by towering cliffs, emerald-green waters, and a small, pristine beach.

The cave’s name comes from the color of the water, which appears to glow a brilliant green due to the sunlight filtering through the cave’s roof and reflecting off the water’s surface. The experience of swimming through the cave and emerging into the lagoon is truly unforgettable and is considered one of the highlights of any visit to Koh Mook.

Koh Ngai

Koh Ngai, which can be spotted across the ocean to the north, with its steep cliffs rising into the skyline. This island offers a relaxed atmosphere, fantastic snorkeling opportunities, and plenty of diving options.

Koh Chuek

Crystal clear aquamarine water, mesmerizing sea caves, pristine sandy beach, numerous soft coral reefs and schools of vivid flamboyant tropical fishes. This is what you discover at the Koh Chuek Island located between Koh Ngai and Koh Mook. The island provides a perfect spot for snorkeling never seen before varieties of tropical fishes and soft corals. Although you can visit the island any time of the day, it is best to witness the fishes in their natural habitat early morning. Generally, a visit to the island is provided under the 4 island tour from Koh Lanta.

KOH ROK

Another beautiful day trip from Koh Lanta is to Koh Rok, which has some of the best snorkelling in the area.

It was a true beach paradise with soft white sand and crystal clear turquoise water.

The snorkelling was decent, and see plenty of life including titan triggerfish, Moorish idols, false clownfish, and parrotfish.

If you only have time for one boat trip, Choose the Four Island trip to see the stunning Emerald Cave, but Koh Rok is also worth it.
